P.S. I just tested out the 3 paints mentioned above and was very pleased with Kilz and Behr paint. Dutch Boy, which is the lowest price of the three, was very runny and did not provide good coverage compared with Kilz and Behr. So, although cheap is good, the cheapest is NOT so good! Just thought I’d share my experience with you.

Okay, this article isn’t exactly about preparing a house to sell, but it was so much fun that I couldn’t resist sharing it with you! It’s about a home stager who created a retro martini bar in her basement. I know, most folks go for the sports bar feel, but this is a bit more unique (and dare I say Classy!).

So, even if you are interested in staging a house for sale, I think you’ll enjoy the staged homes approach this Colorado stager took when redesigning her own basement. I especially love her design tips on the bottom right: Choose a style, usually between contemporary or traditional, and stick with it; Pick a color scheme, but don’t overwhelm with color. The chocolate martini recipe looks pretty good, too.
